Baby goats or kids are so cute, who else thinks they have the cutest faces?

This little watercress farm sits pretty right next to one of the busiest streets on Oahu and in the middle of urban landscape. It seems out of place but is a soothing sight so it’s perfect just where it is. I hope they don’t replace this watercress farm with another building.
Watercress is an aquatic plant found near springs and slow-moving streams, which is a leafy green food source. It has been grown in Europe, Central Asia and the Americas for millennia for use both as food medicine. Watercress is very low in calories but is supposed to have disease-preventative properties. Vitamin K is the most prominent nutrient in watercress with 312% of the daily recommended value.

I was pretty sure about having a photograph representing a trio in my stock although my memory couldn’t recall any. The surety came from the fact that 3 is my favorite number. I have no clue why, I just like 3, it’s not my birth day number, there are no significant events attached to it, nothing. Maybe one day I’ll figure it out. Because of this reason, I figured I may have unconsciously snapped a picture of a trio sometime, somewhere… and I found this picture of three giraffes from a couple of years ago!
In response to WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: From Every Angle
On seeing the topic of today’s challenge, I thought I’d have to take some new pictures for the challenge, but figured I should just check my photo library to see if I happened to have anything that fit the bill and was pleasantly surprised by the memory of photographing this interesting-faced dog, who by the way was very cooperative while being photographed!
In response to WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Beneath Your Feet
Beneath our feet is another world, of busy little creatures going about their daily routines – hunting for food, seeking shelter, finding a mate, fighting, caring for their young… often our path’s cross and I stop to wonder and watch and sometimes photograph them.
As is usual, I stopped by her stall at the vegetable market for our weekly greens.
“Hi, how are you today?” “Beautiful morning isn’t it?” She acknowledged me with a slight nod of the head and an averted glance. “Glad to get my hands on these while they’re still fresh,” I said, picking up a bunch of locally-grown spinach…
Her silence put a full stop on my banter.
I retreat to my thoughts and remind myself to not disturb the peace of her silence; maybe she’s sad, maybe she’s stressed by the weight of whatever life has thrown at her, maybe there’s chaos swirling all around her.
So, if you’re ever at the stall with the bright yellow umbrellas – no friendly chatter, just get what you want, pay and leave quietly.
A little bit of peace and quiet is what she wants…maybe?
