In this post we’re highlighting the Teens For Jeans campaign on dosomething.org which we at The Ultimate Fundraiser encourage young people to join, which ends on Feb 29, 2016. Over a million young people experience homelessness in the US every year and according to do something.org an item they often request is a pair of jeans.

So, dosomething.org requests that you run a gently-used jeans drive in your school or community and donate them to a local shelter near you. Jeans are a great piece of clothing to donate, as they can be washed and worn multiple times for years, they’re comfortable, practical and can be dressed up or down. So by donating the pair or pairs of jeans in your closet that you haven’t worn in a while, you’ll be directly providing an essential clothing item for youth in need.

Sign up for facts on youth homelessness and tips on running a successful jeans drive. You’ll also receive a free digital kit including flyers and posters to help you get the word out. And you will be able to compete for a chance to win up to a $3K grant for your school or college and an individual $5K scholarship! Dosomething.org is one of the best and easiest platforms to help young people make a difference in the community, so what are you waiting for? Check out the campaigns on dosomething.org, and start one that you connect with.
