Soon, it will be Canstruction time at Pearlridge Center (Aiea, Oahu). It is a fun and creative way to contribute to the Hawaii Food Bank. This year the theme is “Rock-CAN-Roll.”

For those not familiar, different design teams will get together to build sculptures out of cans donated by the public. Competing teams will be lead by architects and engineers. These Canstruction sculptures will be on display at the Pearlridge shopping center until they’re taken down and donated to the Hawaii Foodbank. It is a way to bring awareness and provide a creative push to the food drive.

When:   Saturday, October 3, 2015
Where:  Pearlridge Center – Uptown.

CANstruction Build-Out:      9am – 2pm
Kids CAN Keiki Corner:       10am- 1pm
Vote People’s Choice:          Oct. 3 – Oct. 17
Hunger affects thousands in our own community and the 10th Annual AIA Honolulu Canstruction competition puts a spotlight on the fight to end hunger by featuring  a musical genre, which is trademarked by breaking the  rules and living without boundaries — Rock and Roll! Go check it out, it will be interesting and yes, do donate to the Hawaii Foodbank and bring in cans of food for the Canstruction.
