Kaewai Elementary School on Oahu has a new and artsy look, a dull wall has been transformed into a beautiful work of art with the help of over 300 school kids, what a great way to inspire kids with art. It took the artist, Hilton Alves, 2 days to finish painting the wall with the help of the kids at the elementary school. The Kaewai Elementary mural project is the first of seven of artist Alves Surf Art Kids-Seven project. He plans on painting murals on walls at seven schools in seven weeks. What a great way to touch the children’s lives and inspire them!

Why don’t we do this at all schools across America and paint more than one wall? Wouldn’t it be great if all school walls were turned into a Mural Art Museum, then children would have something beautiful to look at, feel good and be inspired. Schools around the country could collaborate with local artists in each state to accomplish this. Studies have shown that students who study art are four times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement and three times more likely to have better school attendance. So exposing children to art in the school environment would help to positively influence them, let’s paint murals on school walls across America!
