Hawai’i residents and those that have recently moved here, did you know that the Y offers an after-school program (A+ Program) on site? Through a partnership with the Department of Education, the YMCA provides after school care for over 7,000 children in grades K-6 at 51 public schools on Oahu.

Check with your local school for program availability and registration.

After School Program (ASP)

The After School Program is currently only offered at the Kaimuki YMCA, Leeward YMCA, and Mililani YMCA and it highlights the YMCA’s commitment to Youth Development.

Students are picked up after school and brought to the YMCA. Their daily schedule consists of a healthy snack, supervised homework time and a wide variety of activities.  Activities include sport skills, cooking & nutrition, reading program, gardening, arts-n-crafts, recreational swim and singing-dancing-drama. So your child can choose activities according to his or her interests.
